The Sunken City

A watercolor and salt painting for my art class. My original idea for this assignment (Chinese "scroll" painting) was Lord of the Rings. Mordor in the background, Minas Tirith or Rivendale in the middle, and the Shire in the foreground. Needless to say, this was way less complicated .

However, I still snuck in a few jokes and references throughout the painting. Can anyone spot the one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish?

For those who were wondering (Nobody, am I right?) the Japanese characters in the bottom right read (From top to bottom) fear, water, illness. Together they can be read as hydrophobia. It seemed funny at the time. I also apologize to anyone who actually reads kanji for my awful penmanship (Brushmanship?).
